Client: Loughs Agency
The Loughs Agency is a cross-border body established under the good Friday Agreement. The Agency is responsible for managing Carlingford and Lough Foyle, two loughs which form part of the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
In 2005, the Agency commissioned Tourism Development International to undertake a Marine Tourism and Leisure Strategy. The objective of the study was to identify the potential for water and land based recreation and tourism on Carlingford Lough and Lough Foyle having regard to the unique attributes of each lough.
