Client: Dúchas - The Heritage Service
In 1999, the company was appointed by Dúchas – The Heritage Service to design and implement a market research programme in order to ‘develop a system of market research to help meet the objectives of the Education and Visitor Service’ (E.V.S.).
The purpose of the market research programme was to assist Dúchas – The Heritage Service in obtaining an understanding of visitors to heritage sites, monitor marketing initiatives, and achieve an understanding of the general attitudes to heritage and conservation.
The programme comprised a survey of the travel trade in each of Ireland’s main markets and a survey of 4,407 visitor interviews at 63 Dúchas sites.
