In 2000, Tourism Development International was appointed by Bord Fáilte to conduct an extensive programme of market research with overseas activity holiday participants visiting the Republic of Ireland in 2000. The research was conducted through face-to-face interviews and through a series of focus group discussions. The aim of the research was to obtain details relating to motivations, perceptions, marketing information and ratings on Ireland’s activity product.
