Tourism Development International are currently preparing a Tourism Feasibility Study for

Slane Castle Irish Whiskey Distillery.

 According to Alex Mount Charles and his family 'Our own distillery would be an enormous boost to Slane and would make Slane a very exciting tourist destination in addition to Newgrange and the Battle of the Boyne site'.
