The first quarter of 2014 has seen a busy start to the year for TDI with participation in three significant tourism events.
In 2013, TDI carried out a Study on the Identification and Assessment of Business Opportunities in the Tourism Value Chain in Qatar. The assignment was undertaken on behalf of the Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA). The Study identified 25 business opportunities for Qatar.
On Sunday 2nd March, Peter Mac Nulty, Ciarán Tuite and Robert Travers of TDI participated in Tourism Investor Opportunities Event where details of six tourism investment opportunities will be revealed.
TDI will be participants in the Responsible Tourism Conference 2014 to be held in Dublin on 19th March. At this event, David Mac Nulty will outline TDI's approach to the Recreation, Tourism and Commercial Product Identification Studies which the firm undertook on behalf of Waterways Ireland in 2013. Drawing on the findings from the latter study and other assignments, Robert Cleverdon will present a paper on Marketing Better Places - Engaging Communities with Government.
Robert also represented TDI at the ETC Destination Europe 2020 Conference in Brussels on Wednesday 12th February.
TDI has been commissioned by the European Travel Commission to undertake a Study on Tourism Strategy of Europe's Main Competitors in Select Outbound Markets.
