“The World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has contracted Tourism Development International (TDI) to provide advisory services for a number of long-term sustainable tourism development projects In Africa and Asia during the period 1996-2007. We wish to confirm that Tourism Development International has undertaken consultancy work for UNWTO on the following projects. 1. Tourism Master Plan for Uzbekistan (1996-7); 2. Malaysia Rural Tourism Master Plan (2000-1); 3 Tourism Master Plan for Guizhou Province China (2002); 4. Nigeria Tourism Master Plan (2005), 5. Best Tourism Cites Plan. China (2006-7) - part participation As part of the terms of reference for the above projects, TDI undertook work in the field of cultural tourism for the preparation of marketing plans in partnership with national, provincial and local governments, donor agencies and tourism stakeholders. The plans identified cultural resources that could be deployed for tourism development and developed strategies for the promotion of cultural heritage of tourism destinations at the local and national level. Best Practice Mission to Ireland ACTP’s mission is to grow the tourism industry in Atlantic Canada, which today represents $ 3.24 billion annually for the region’s economy and employs over 110,000 people. “The coordination of the entire mission by Bernadette Power of Tourism Atlantic/ ACOA and David Mac Nulty, Tourism Development International is certainly part of the reason for its success.
