During the period 2000-2001, Tourism Training International undertook a detailed training needs analysis of the tourism industry in Armenia, followed by a two week intensive residential training programme for senior figures in Armenian tourism. The participants included tour operators, hoteliers, government officials, transport company exectuives and visitor attractions managers.

The needs assessment involved extensive product familiarisation and discussions with industry figures as to what their perceived needs were. The resulting course was very highly regarded and has been used as a model for similar developmental training excercises. A detailed follow up was also undertaken, and the programme concluded with a high profile conference held in Yerevan.
